What we keep, and why.
Last updated October 2026
We collect as little as we can, use it only to run HALO, and never sell it.
What we collect
- Memory pages: the names, letter, messages, photos and videos you add, the unlock time you choose, and a count of how many times the page was opened.
- Gift waitlist: your name, email, and if you give them, phone number, city, the pack you're interested in and your note.
- Contact form: your name, email and message.
- Sign in with X (HALO on X only): your public X profile (handle, name, photo, account age and public counts like followers and posts).
- Your browser: we remember which memory pages you made on this device, so you can keep editing. That stays in your browser.
How we use it
- To show your memory page to people with its link.
- To tell waitlist members when gift delivery opens in their city.
- To reply to messages, keep HALO safe, and review reported pages.
Who else sees it
Your data is stored with our hosting and database providers (Vercel and Neon), who process it for us. Memory pages are visible to anyone who has the link, and aren't listed or shown to search engines. We don't sell personal data or use it for advertising.
Your choices
You can edit or unpublish a memory page any time with its edit link. To delete a page, leave the waitlist, or ask what we hold about you, contact us and we'll handle it.
Changes
If we change what we collect, we'll update this page and the date above.
